Anyone remember this series about Sunday league football ?
Set in around the East end and hosted by Danny Baker who would also commentate on the chosen fixture.
Just discovered it again on you tube
Highly amusing and featured some local pubs and sports fields.
Could even be some WHO ers who were in these teams.

Series such as this should be shown now to give a bit of light relief and in the absence of any live games.
Baker and Kelly on the likes of 606 were superb and some of the calls hilarious.

Either of you ever hear the call on 606 about the lazy sportsmaster who refereed games from his car ? He would put his hazards on in stead of blowing a whistle and every time he did one of the boys had to leg it to the car patk to see why the ref had 'blown'
If you've heard it you'll know why its so side splittingly funny

I like BCD though Linekar cant quite stop himself from being a bit of a smug cunt at times. The treehouse is carrying on from his 5 live saturday show.
Some of the old bbc London shows when David Quo was the sidekick were beyond hilarious,they had an amazing chemistry between them.

Danny is recording his latest Treehouse podcast from his home as studios now closed.
It is indeed tragic that he is no longer on the radio.
That referee was advising one team on where they were going wrong whilst reffing them.
He wore the dark shades and would give a pen just for the hell of it.

The last ep of BCD mentioned The Game and it's stardom-seeking referee.

Yeah I just about remember it.
Shame Danny Baker has been ostracised from the public eye for fuck all, he's one of the great entertainment minds this country has ever had.
